These are signs of damage that would not be perceptible by the naked eye.
• Fiber Optic Scopes – Just as a doctor might use a fiber optic scope to view and assess the internal health of a patient, Presto-X, formerly Fischer Environmental uses fiber optic wall scopes to get a close look at the health of your walls. Especially if our infrared scanners have shown signs that your walls – or any other materials – have been damaged, we can take a closer look with these innovative cameras.
  • The fiber optic scopes have tiny camera lenses on the end of flexible cables that can be snaked through the interior of your walls. Our knowledgeable pest control experts can view the findings and determine if termites, or signs of termites, are present. After many years of using these tools in the field, our termite control professionals know how to obtain the necessary information while doing as little harm to your building as possible.
• Moisture Meters – These meters are used to measure the amount of moisture content in the walls, insulation, surrounding plumbing, and around windows, doors, and other entryways. When there are leaks, termites could have caused the leaks, or termites could be drawn to the moisture. Termites need these water sources in order to thrive when living inside your home. If we can locate and address these high moisture areas, we can work toward making your structure uninhabitable for termites.
